The urochordates, more commonly called
tunicates, are mostly sedentary animals that live on the sea bed, and obtain
their food by passing a current of water through the body. Like most sedentary
marine animals, the tunicates have planktonic larvae which float in the ocean
currents and disperse the animals to new areas.
