John Griffith London

1876-1916

American author, journalist. Born January 12, 1876 in San Francisco, California, most of his books deal with ferocious realism. His most famous book was The Call of the Wild, 1903. He died November 22, 1916 in Glen Ellen, California

 

 

The American author was never the focus of an FBI investigation, but he is mentioned in FBI files as co-founder of the Inter-Collegiate Socialist Society. This society was of interest to the FBI because of its views on socialism.  - Text Courtesy of the FBI - Freedom of Information Act
