Passed Sept. 26, 1890, the Mint Act allowed for dimes, quarter dollars and half dollars to be redesigned after 1891.  The first Barber dimes were produced at the Philadelphia Mint on Jan. 2, 1892.

Composition: .900 Silver, .100 Copper
Diameter: 17.91 millimeters
Weight: 2.500 grams
Edge: Reeded
Head: Liberty head wearing a Phrygian cap
Reverse: Wreath
