The Declaration of Independence - A Brief History
By: Stanley L. Klos

The discovery and editing of recent events or previously unknown information for presentation through the media.

In 2000 the Virtualology.com Project was launched  as thousands of educational web sites setting aside the ".com" names of exceptional individuals for student publishing.  Although the concept was embraced by educators all over the nation for historical figures (please visit jamesmonroe.org) the field of Journalism, for various reasons, attracted minimal student participation.  For that reason over the last several years, despite being offered substantial amounts of money for many  of the ".com" names, The Virtualology Project either donated the urls to non-profit educational institutions or allowed them to expire.  In 2004 The Virtualology Project was discontinued but the concept continues on the web for student and now educational publishing at several hundred historical urls (susanbanthony.net, george-washington.org, declarationofindependence.info ...) that all converge together at StanKlos.com.
