Penguins
- Found in the oceans of Southern Hemisphere they evolved in the Upper
Eocene Period. Standing upright these birds have flipper-like wings and webbed
feet making them excellent swimmers. Their feathers short and dense,
molted in patches. Length 40-120 cm (fossil forms to 180 cm).
