Middle School, Windermere, Florida.
Davy Crockett (1786/?) did farm work and helped
trial cattle to Virginia when he was young. When he was 13, he ran away from
home for two and a half years to avoid being punished for missing class. He
receives no real education as a child but picked up the skills of a hunter,
scout and woodsman.
He got married to Mary Finley and had three children. Davy went into politics.
He was a congressman and also an U.S. army scout.
Crockett was known for being one of the most famous
frontiersmen. Crockett became known for political antics as well. He was also
famous in the Texas Revolution. He died fighting in the Alamo.
